Workstation Cranes and Monorails
Overhead cranes or workstation cranes are used in multiple industries like manufacturing, automotive, aviation, farming, and numerous other industries. for the purposes of heavy lifting and moving heavy loads across distances in a workspace. They are also commonly referred to by several other names including bridge cranes, EOT cranes and track cranes among others. Monorail cranes are ideal for transporting material for painting, coating, blasting and necropsy labs. These systems are mostly used to eliminate worker strain, boost efficiency, protect product, reduce downtime and improve workflow.
Work station bridge cranes and monorails can be used individually or can be readily adapted for applications that are more sophisticated by the addition of extra monorail tracks, curves, and transfers that can be easily configured into a total system. Free Standing Bridge Cranes
A free standing bridge crane is intended to be bolted to the floor and to support loads that will be moved vertically and horizontally. One worker can manipulate the load along a series of tracks, including curves and monorails, inside a closed system. This design works well in an area with limited headroom and/or a ceiling that is not strong enough to support a mounted bridge crane.
Ceiling Mounted Bridge Cranes
A ceiling mounted bridge crane works well in a building with a concrete, steel, or aluminum frame covering. This system will sustain a maximum load of 4,000 pounds. When you choose the overhead design, there are no work areas where workers trip over or bump into workstations. The loads move overhead, which also easily accommodates more pedestrian traffic and forklift operations.
Monorails
An assembly line may involve the movement of a partly assembled product along many tracks within a closed system. Sometimes, it’s necessary to move the parts assembly along a single linear path for many feet. A monorail track can be easily integrated with extra track, curves, interlocks, and switches.

Enclosed Track Jib Cranes
Enclosed Track Jib Cranes provide excellent coverage in circular areas not efficiently served by a main crane. They’re ideal for supporting tool balancers, air balancers, hoists, vacuum lifters and welding wire feeders. They can handle up to 200° rotation when column or wall mounted, and up to 360° rotation when floor mounted.

Gorbel® Enclosed Track Jib Cranes are easier to move and position than traditional I-beam jibs. The cold-formed, high-strength enclosed track design keeps rolling surfaces clean, contributing to easier movement and longer life. The track’s low weight-per-foot reduces the dead weight of the boom. The 2° taper in the lower running flange increases wheel life and allows for smooth rolling of the trolleys.
Free Standing Workstation Jib Crane
The WSJ360 Free Standing Work Station Jib Crane can be bolted directly to your existing floor without adding special foundations. It offers 360° of rotation and is available in standard capacities to 1000 lb. and spans up to 16’.
Wall Mounted Workstation Jib Crane
The WSJ200 Wall or Column Mounted Work Station Jib Crane uses tapered roller bearings at the pivot points for unsurpassed ease of rotation. It offers 200° of rotation and is available in standard capacities to 1000 lb. and spans up to 16’.
Aluminum Tie Rod Jib Crane
The AL100 Wall Bracket Work Station Jib Crane uses Gorbel’s patented light weight, high-strength extruded aluminum enclosed track for its boom. It offers 200° of rotation and is available in standard capacities to 2000 lb. with spans up to 20’.
Free Standing Tool Solutions Jib Crane
Our Tool Solution Jib Cranes are a durable, lightweight option for applications with suspended tooling or light-duty lifting. They are available in capacities of 50 or 150 lbs.
Gantry Cranes

They also roll smoothly, even over rough floor surfaces, and can withstand water, oil and most other chemicals. The bolted beam to upright connection ensures the beam does not dislodge.
